Introduction Our families know how much we love our cheeky wee child free overnights, so we had been kindly bought a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast voucher for the Gleddoch Hotel and Spa as a gift from a family member. This time we decided to hold off and use this in the summer and went mid-June time. About the Hotel Gleddoch Hotel and Spa is in Langbank, Port Glasgow and is based in a beautiful rural setting. Their website explains the history of the hotel. Gleddoch House was built by Sir James Lithgow as a gift for his wife and family. It was designed by Alexander Nisbet Paterson and completed in 1926. Gleddoch house remained a part of the family until 1974 when it then officially became a hotel. Gleddoch House became one of the most prestigious hotels in the area and a popular choice for visiting VIP’s, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.   Introduction We were given a voucher from my mum for our Christmas for a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast stay stayed at the Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride, Ayrshire. A stunning family-owned hotel and restaurant along the water’s edge in West Kilbride, Ayrshire with panoramic views across the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran. You can enjoy a range of luxury accommodation options, from stylish deluxe and family rooms to exceptional suites. From the pictures I think you’ll agree that it does look a very classy and charming hotel, so we were excited to go and quickly agreed a date with to have the kids watched and booked up for an overnight in January. This was the perfect time for us to go especially as we were running on fumes after Christmas and all our focus had been on the kids!
